I wrap myself in my childhood,
A pastel, baby,
Powder blue blanket
And cry my stifled tears.
Apathy feeds my hopelessness,
Shame floods my eyes.
I am expendable,
I have never made a difference,
Never changed someone’s life.
I will not be missed for long,
As mediocrity is a place easy filled.
My cry for help is not heard,
Subdued by my own hands,
I resent them for not hearing,
But I feint with,
“I am fine.”

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
